Christmas is Coming!

Hi guys! In today's book review, I will be sharing on a book I recently finished. It's called The Christmas Train by David Baldacci and yes, like the name suggests, the book is about Christmas. :)

The Christmas Train by David Baldacci talks about the journey of one man, Tom Langdon where he took the train to travel from Washington D.C. to L.A for Christmas. In his journey, we get to explore the fascinations and mysteries of travelling on a train and his journey was not an easy one. Besides having to deal with his ex, Eleanor, he also have to deal with many things such as an weird old lady and an avalanche. Besides Tom, we get to explore other characters as well such as Eleanor and her past with Tom. What was the reason to them breaking up and was her encounter with Tom a coincidence? Is this a second chance for them?

I thoroughly enjoyed this book because besides being able to show the Christmas spirit, as someone who has never travel on a train before get to experience it first hand from a book. The friends he made and the comforts of a train. It really makes me wanting to experience it but sadly, the place I stay in does not have such mode of transport. Oh and about the thief, David really got me on that one. :) In this book, David was also able to bring out the kindness in people where they help each other when they encounter a problem in their journey. That was really heartwarming in my opinion. :)

The ending was kind of unexpected but it just shows how much a person is willing to give in order to make their loved ones happy.

Overall, this was a pleasant read and suitable for the Christmas season and I highly recommends it.
