Would You Revive Your Pet in Exchange for a Different Personality?

In today's book review, I will be sharing my thoughts on Pet Sematary written by Stephen King. Although I took quite a bit of time to finish it, I can feels that the suspense is there throughout the book.

This book shows us if given the power, what humans like Louis can and will do in order to bring his son back to life despite the warnings and the consequences of tampering with power beyond what you can grasp. As a reader, I am able to feel his desperation in wanting to bring back his son. Although I might disagree with his actions. Who knows what will happen if such opportunities are given to me.

Overall, Pet Sematary is a decent horror story. It is not really a scary horror type but rather, a sort of quizzical horror type. We are dealing with supernaturals, monsters and unnatural powers in the book.

What I learnt from the book is that sometimes, when a person got to go, you got to let them go and you got to move on and live for them. Learning to overcome your fear is something I learn as well especially how Rachel dealt with herself over the issue of Zelda.

The ending is a little ambiguous so it is up to the readers to decide what happens in the end and ultimately, I feels that this story does not has a happy ending which is sad but I think it fits the overall story better. The impact of a good ending would definitely be less as compared to the ending we got here because in the end, Louis's efforts are for naught in my opinion.
